Have you thought of becoming involved in a local activity, which could bring you new friends and interests?

Upminster Windmill is run entirely by volunteers.

At least four volunteers are in attendance when the windmill is open. If you would like to join this friendly group and are willing to give a few hours of your time on a summer weekend, please get in touch.

If you are uncertain about whether it would suit you, do not be afraid to come and look around and talk to the volunteers on duty. You will not be asked to give up more of your time than you would like, and full training and guidance will be provided. As well as guiding or providing help on opendays, there are many other aspects to running the museum.
